Analog Processing Box - The Future Is Here

McDSP is pleased to announce that its groundbreaking, award winning, programmable analog processor, the APB-16, is back in full production. New APB units come with a USB-C style connector that supports Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 ports on both Intel and Apple silicon Macs and operates at twice the bandwidth of the original APB units that came with Thunderbolt 2. New and original APB units can be used interchangeably in the same system. Native APB drivers and APB plug-ins are available for Intel and Apple silicon processors running Mac OS 10.13.x (High Sierra) or later. The latest APB plug-ins also take advantage of recent mac OS improvements in graphics rendering on both Intel and Apple silicon processors. Features: - Programmable analog processing - Premium analog components - Multiple analog saturation options - APB-ready software plug-in bundle included - Sample accurate automation - Full session recall and preset handling - AKM 32-bit DAC and ADC - Thunderbolt 3 and 4 compatible - Optimized for Apple Silicon and Intel Processors - McDSP patented technology - Manufactured in the United States Head to www.mcdsp.com/apb for a complete list of authorized APB dealers. Be a part of audio history and jump on board today. More information is available at www.mcdsp.com. An APB plug-in takes the input audio signal, combines it with a control signal, and sends both along a Thunderbolt connection to an APB hardware unit for processing. The control signal sets up the analog components to do the selected algorithm with all the parameter values, and the audio signal is processed in the analog domain, and then converted back to the digital domain, and appears at the ouput of the APB plug-in back inside the Pro Tools session.
