RCA 44-BX Vs. Melodium 42B Vintage Ribbon Microphone Shootout
Here’s a shootout video between two classic ribbon microphones - the RCA 44-BX and French Melodium 42B. Both of these microphones are huge and sound incredible with warm, lush ribbon tones. These are both original and were both made in the 1950’s, though there are reissues of both of these microphones by modern manufacturers through AEA (44) and Kerwax (42B).
